Siobhan Johnstone
Founder
Siobhan Johnstone is an international aerial performer and travels the world to perform for a huge variety of events, from Cirque du Soleil shows to BBC tv productions. Trained as a competitive gymnast since the age of 5, Siobhan went on to gain multiple coaching qualifications while teaching both elite squad and recreational gymnasts. After training in flying trapeze at circus schools in California, Thailand and Bristol, her love for aerial was born! Since 2012 Siobhan has been teaching aerial to all levels, from hobbyist to professional aerialists. In 2018 she set up base in Exeter and opened Silk & Steel Studio.
Charly Mead
Coach
Charly began her aerial journey in Manchester at Cloud Aerial Arts trying numerous aerial disciplines and finding her love for aerial hoop. She has completed instructor qualifications with both Spin City and Flying Fantastic and has been part of the Silk & Steel team since 2019.
Cathy Hayward
Coach
Cathy began training with Silk & Steel Studio in 2019 and enjoys all of the aerial disciplines! She is passionate about technique and recently completed her instructor qualification with Flying Fantastic.
